What is Intuition?

An intuition is a pulsion, affect, cognition, or often a combination, which has high clarity of effect or suggestion but high unclarity of cause or origin due to a significant conscious-subconscious split. Intuition is therefore rather a manner of delivery than a specific function. Extreme intuitions can be perceived or interpreted as being from an “other,” supernatural or spiritual, as the mind fills in the gaps of an absent conscious source.

Intuitions are not to be ignored, John. They represent data processed too fast for the conscious mind to comprehend.” – Sherlock Holmes
